Volunteer Work

Rhos Barnes and  The PC TECH Guys

Our company believes that non-profit organizations and charitable organizations are more important than the bottom line (getting paid).  It is essential to build strong and healthy relationships in the community we live and stand up for things we believe strongly in. In turn, strong communities support the businesses that operate within them.

Rhos Barnes of The PC TECH Guys has donated his professional services to non profit’s and organizations that are important to him.

Rhos Barnes has run Bullybeware.com for the past 3 years with internationally known anti-bullying expert Cindi Seddon.  Our webpage and Cindi’s program have been featured multiple times on all canadian news media and Cindi is a world renowned speaker in the movement against anti-bullying.

Below is Bullybeware.com featured with Steve Darling / Breakfast Television and Other Networks.

Since November 2011, I have worked closely with the administration and providing web development and maintenance for the school district’s anti bullying site.  I worked with and through one of BC’s biggest bullying stories with Amanda Todd’s principal before and after the tragic event.  This volunteer opportunity lead to running an anti-bullying webpage that has been featured on CBC, Breakfast Television and various news media outlets.  Today I run an anti-bullying website with Amanda’s principal and international speaker on anti-bullying, Cindi Seddon.

The Royal Canadian Legion is another organization I give my professional services to.  It’s an organization that gives back so much to my local community in Squamish, British Columbia.  The Royal Canadian Legion is also home to where I play darts (and where I just completed running the dart league for the 2014 season).  We provide free computer technical support, onsite services at no cost to the legion.  The Royal Canadian Legion Branch 277 has served an important role in Squamish over the past few decades, it donates a lot of money back into local non profit charities in our community and supports our youth with the Air Cadets program.
